The measure of achievement is not winning awards. It’s doing something that you appreciate, something you believe is worthwhile. However, awards are definitely an encouragement for future achievements. Nature Conservation Society has been honored with many such awards. Some of these prominent awards are,
‘KIRLOSKAR VASUNDHARA MITRA AWARD, 2011’
It was awarded at Vasundhara International film festival by Kirloskar brothers Ltd., Kirloskarwadi, for significant contribution in wildlife conservation. The award was received at the hands of Dr. Erach Bharucha, a Surgeon by profession and a Nature Conservationist by passion. Dr. Bharucha has been active in wildlife and nature conservation for nearly fifty years. He has been an executive member of many prestigious organizations such as ‘Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS) and Wildlife Institute of India ( WII).
‘CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION, 2021’
The certificate of appreciation was awarded by Dr. Rajendra Singh Rana, for successful completion of a Miyawaki project at Nangole Village, Tal. Kavathemahankal in Sangli district of Maharashtra state. Dr. Rajendra Singh Rana is an internationally acclaimed water conservationist, popularly known as “Waterman of India” and the founder of Jal Biradari (Tarun Bharat Sangh), an NGO working for the cause of Water conservation. ‘The Miyawaki project’ was a part of ‘Agrani river basin rejuvenation program’ run by Jal Biradari.
'NISARG-PARYAVARAN MITRA AWARD, 2021'
It was awarded by Late Mrs. Rohini Ravindra Jadhav memorial trust, Daund, at the hands of Mr. Indrajeet Deshmukh, for our sincere efforts of Nature conservation and environmental awareness creation. Mr. Indrajeet Deshmukh is a renowned philosopher and a former official of Indian Civil services.
'CARTIFICATE OF HONOUR, 2024' BY SAKAL MEDIA GROUP'
The certificate was awarded by Sakal media group, on occasion of 40th anniversary celebration program of its Sangli division. Team NACONS was felicitated for its persistent and sincere contribution towards Nature Conservation and environmental protection for last 15 years. The certificate was received at the hands of Mr. Nikhil Panditrao, the Chief editor of Sakal media group, Kolhapur division , Mr. Shekhar Joshi, the associate editor of Sakal media group, Sangli division and Mr. Ganesh Shinde, a renowned motivational speaker.
